Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. Her movies comprise Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). She grew up in an artistic family in New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of arts. She started as a photographic assistant before moving on to modeling and acting. The first two films she appeared in, she was recognized as a winner of the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw's movie Love Story proved a major hit and fetched her worldwide recognition as well as several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. After just three short films, MacGraw was declared one of the most successful women at the box office in history. In Grauman's Chinese Theater In 1972, she got her handprints and signature engraved. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television miniseries The Winds of War. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
